One of the oldest haunted attractions is around with a new look. Pirates of Emerson, a haunted attraction located in Fremont, California, have just launched their new website and schedule for 2008. The site is really well done, and is definitely worth a look. Although that Flash intro is so 1999 guys!
Welcome our Newest Member, Jason with Elswarro Productions! It’s amazing the quality of talent we have brought together in such a short time! Please go to his site and check out what they do. They have some awesome media and commercial samples of things they have done thus far. These guys truly represent what AZHSEA is all about! I have BIG plans for these guys and AZHSEA in the upcoming year! As he posted in our forums:
Hey Guys! My name is Jason and I work for Elswarro Productions. We specialize in haunted attraction media. We are a small company based out of Yuma (2 editors and 3 staff members), but our video quality and prices cant be matched! Check out our website http://www.elswarro.com and we hope to work with some of you in the upcoming season!
One of our newest members, and an old contact of mine, Chris Martin, just sent me an email. He was putting together a Home Haunter’s Coffee Table book a couple years ago, until he got side tracked with a bigger project. Namely, he created and produced a Celebriality Show on VH1! Here’s some details:
“It’s called “Celebracadabra” and it premieres this Sunday (April 27th) @ 9pm on VH1.
It’s a fun, family-friendly show where celebrities learn & perform magic. We’ve got C. Thomas Howell, Carnie Wilson, one of the Pussycat Dolls, etc.
If that sounds like something you might be interested in (and you want to support a fellow Halloween enthusiast) check it out. (And please let me know what you think.)”
I think this is something we can certainly support him in! He also states that the more people who watch, the more FCG’s and Props he can buy/build! So let’s set the DVR to record this show and throw some support for a fellow haunter! Who knows, maybe AZHSEA can get their own show soon (HINT HINT!)???!!!! Check out his blog, Halloween Hot List as well. Congrats Chris!
This was just posted by our newest member, Indiana Holmes in the Discussion Forums! This is just an awesome display of what our members are capable of! Here’s the details on it…
I did this last year with two 3-axis skulls. I’m basically a computer retard but was willing to do whatever it took to get thiese going. They ended up being two scarecrows bantering back and forth doing a parody of Abbott and Costello’s “Whos on First”. It turned out great and I am ready to do two more this year. Already have the skulls, controller board, and servos. Still need the hardware, plate, wiring and another computer. VSA was really pretty easy, even for me. Here is avideo snippet of them on my workbench during testing.
