Hey Arizona Haunters and Halloweeners!
We are having a scheduled chat session this afternoon to test out our
new chat room, and get to know each other a little better! It’ll be
at 4pm today, and go to, well, whenever you have to go! Here’s how to
get there-
1) Goto www.azhsea.com/forums
2) Register or Login
3) One logged in, click the ‘Chat Room’ Link in the top-right corner
Here’s an AWESOME prop made by one of our members, BTH (Randy). The inspiration came from the Haunted Mansion Hitchhikers at Walt Disney Land. He got the mask off ebay, and made the moving mechanism with a windshield wiper motor. HOW COOL IS THAT!!! If you want to see more details, log in to our Forums.
We just added the Graveyard Chatroom to our site!!! Now you can chat with fellow AZ Haunters live, in real time! Catch up on their latest props, ask questions, toss around ideas, or just hang out and enjoy the company!
To access the chatroom- login to the Forums. On the Top right side you’ll see a link that says ‘Chat Room’. Click it and have fun! Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed in your browser. If you want to see who’s chatting before you go in- look at the bottom of the forums in the ‘Who’s Chatting’ section.
We’ll be having weekly scheduled chat meetings, so be sure to join in! See you there!
Hey guys-
We now have a Make & Take Scheduled for Tucson, AZ! All you Tucson Haunters can now join in! It’s going to be September 20th, 2008. I’ll post times/directions as it gets closer to the day.
We will be making Flicker Circuits and Latex Hands!
We’ll also have a Demo session for you to show off your props!
Any of you who live up in Phoenix, we’ll be carpooling down there together, if you’d like to save on gas.
I can’t wait to meet all of you- check out the details in the Forums!
If you haven’t been logging into our Discussion Forums, then you missed the details on this month’s get together. Man, it was a great one! WeLive4Halloween offered up her place at the last minute and welcomed us ‘weenie’s’ with open arms! We cannot thank her family (and pets!) enough!
Randy drove 2.5 hours from Tucson to be here, and brough all kinds of goodies with him! His Floating Candelabra rig was just SUPER cool. To see this thing in person just really made a difference. He also brought his latex hands, and showed us all how he made them. Guys- these things are SOO much better than the ones you see online or in the stores! I am now set to make a few pairs this year myself (thanks for adding to my to do list, Randy!) He unveiled his super duty high power magnets and we discussed some killer ideas on how to levitate objects with those. Randy, you’re a stud, and it’s ALWAYS great to have you a part of this group!
I brought out a couple of my carpet glue zombies and explained how to make those. They were a big hit, and I believe everyone is planning on making some themselves this year. We discussed many, many things and it really got the ideas flowing with all of our haunts. It kicked me into High Gear for building props and finishing projects up on this year’s haunt.
Next month’s Make and Take is going to be incredible. Make sure you guys check it out in the forums for all the details- believe me, you won’t want to miss this! Check out all the pictures in the Photo Gallery for more!
Here’s a cool thing I’ve been meaning to make for a while now. I think this can be VERY handy for mass producing props (skulls, spiders, etc etc). What do you guys say- maybe our next make and take???
