Make & Takes
No Comments
For those of you who missed out- we just posted pictures of the July Make & Take in the new Photo Gallery! The event was awesome- the food was incredible, the company was fun, and the demos and props were AMAZING!
Randy drove up from Tucson and brought all of us VORTEX LASERS! Man, these things are soo cool- added in with some fog and you’re all set! They form a ‘Cone’ of light that swirls with the fog that passes through. And yes, he just made them and GAVE THEM TO US- what a great guy!
Speaking of Fog- Specter brought his Vortex Trash Can Chiller for all to see. Why spend $300-500 on a professional one when you can build this yourself for around $20!
The Topic of the entire event were LED Fireflies. We each made a set, and tested out different strategies and sizes to determine the best effect. WOW these things are cool! We hooked them up outside and they worked perfectly! You’d have thought you were in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in DisneyLand! Looking for a How-To? Charlton wrote one up and you can view that in the Discussion Forums.
Check out the Photo Gallery Now to see all the action!

Hey guys-
ok, it’s official! The July Make & Take will take place:
- Saturday, July 12th 2008, 5:00pm.
- Gilbert, AZ. Email me offlist for exact address
We will be making those pesky Disney inspired LED Fireflies that is in such high demand! If you guys want, I can also bring my trash can chiller to demonstrate that. Or, if you have any other suggestions, I’d love to hear them! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Please RSVP by voting in the forums so we know how many people to expect to attend, and I know how much BBQ to make
Please bring some sort of refreshments, snacks, chips, etc. Post the item you are bringing so that we don’t duplicate too much. I will post the materials we need here this week- so you’ll have time to order/buy them before attending. You are expected to buy your own materials for the M&Ts. Please check out the Discussion Forums for all the details!
See you there!

How To's

Here’s a great How-To I found posted from FloridaSpook on halloweenforum.com. I actually built the same one a few years ago out of a Large RubberMaid trashcan. It works GREAT. There’s no write up, really- but you get the idea from the pictures.
